One Chelsea player is set to leave Stamford Bridge permanently but will not join Crystal Palace this summer.
Lewis Hall left Chelsea for Newcastle United last summer in a loan deal that will become a permanent one once certain conditions are met.
Once that happens, according to GiveMeSport, there is a possibility that Palace could try and sign Hall.
However, the same outlet claims that the left-back is expected to remain at Newcastle after his £28m deal goes through instead of moving to a new club.
At the end of February, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe confirmed that the 19-year-old was “very close” to joining the Magpies permanently.
Lewis Hall expected to stay at Newcastle
Hall will not be joining Palace or returning to Chelsea it seems, and it is a shame that the latter will not see him in a blue shirt ever again.
They currently find themselves in a position where they could really do with another left-back in their squad.

Ben Chilwell is fit again, but the fact that he has picked up so many injuries in the last few years is extremely worrying.
Marc Cucurella could also leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with it being reported that the club want to sell him.
It would have been great, then, if Hall returned and just slotted into Mauricio Pochettino‘s squad. He could have saved the Blues millions.
However, it looks like they will now have to go out and buy a new left-back. If Chilwell can stay fit for what is left of the campaign and Cucurella shows the kind of form that convinces his employers not to sell him, then it could change things a little bit.
As things stand, though, you cannot help but feel that Chelsea have to go into the market and strengthen the left side of their defence.
