Chelsea are eyeing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as a potential transfer target.

That is according to a report from Tutto Juve.

They claim that Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been looking at the performances of Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic this season. Likewise, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone is monitoring the Serie A frontman.

It is explained that the Blues and Atletico Madrid are new candidates keen on the 24-year-old player.

The report adds that Italian giant Juventus are asking for at least €90 million (£77m) to sell Vlahovic this summer.

Vlahovic has been on fire lately for a Juventus side that sit second in their league table. He’s actually scored seven goals in his most recent seven Serie A appearances.

The ‘extraordinary’ centre-forward has proven himself to be a top European forward in the last few years playing in Italy.

With his blend of power, pace and finishing, it’s easy to suggest there’s a good chance he would be a hit in the Premier League.

Chelsea interested in Dusan Vlahovic

Journalist Bobby Vincent told Football.London last month that Chelsea did like Vlahovic as a potential target last summer. However, not everyone at Stamford Bridge was fully convinced by him as a potential signing.

We wonder if things will be different by the end of this season…

Ultimately, we’d love Chelsea to sign a central striker capable of breaking the 20-goal mark every season. Vlahovic has done that numerous times in his career before. As it stands, he’ll go close to achieving that again this term.

It’s pretty obvious that Chelsea need to go out and bring in a prolific No 9 when the summer window comes around. Our feeling on Vlahovic is that he’s definitely a credible option, especially if Pochettino is in favour. We’d perhaps lean more towards Napoli’s Victor Osimhen or Brentford’s Ivan Toney, though.
