Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has now claimed that he has already made a decision over who is going to start in one position for the Blues tomorrow in the Premier League.
He said in his pre-match press conference that he has informed the squad of who will start in goal tomorrow when they take on London rivals Brentford.
2024 has so far been dominated between the sticks by Djordje Petrovic, after he didn’t make his debut for the club until December.
Ever since coming in, he has been one of the best performers for the Blues on a regular basis, frequently turning out player of the match performances.
He has done this twice in losing efforts already against Liverpool, and has turned up in near enough every big game the Blues have played.
This is why, even though it was a cup game against lower-league opposition, it was surprising to some to see him drop to the bench against Leeds for Robert Sanchez.

The Spaniard was brought in as the number one, however that title came into question when he was out due to injury.

With both players fit again, Pochettino has now said he has already made the decision over who will start between the sticks tomorrow.
He said: “I don’t know if to tell or not to tell [you]. They know already. Always is tough when you only need to pick 11.”
Supporters will likely be hoping the manager returns to Petrovic, who as mentioned has impressed greatly since coming into the side.
Sanchez hardly installed confidence in the backline during the FA Cup tie, and this will not have gone unnoticed as the Blues made countless errors at the back.
