One Chelsea player has really opened up on what has been an extremely tough season for him.
Trevoh Chalobah has missed the majority of the campaign because of an injury.
It was the first big one in his career so far, and the central defender has now spoken to Chelsea’s official website about it.
Chalobah is back now and started in Chelsea‘s 2-2 draw with Brentford last Saturday.
While Chalobah is a central-half and played there in the west London derby at the Gtech Community Stadium, the 24-year-old used to be a midfielder, with Claude Makelele recently revealing that he was the one who helped convert him into a defender.

Trevoh Chalobah describes injury as “toughest moment”
Recovering from a previous injury, Chalobah has explained how difficult it was for him when he damaged his hamstring again during a drill.
“I felt really good,” the former England U21 international said. “The rehab with the staff here [at Cobham] was excellent, I had been working outside for a while, I had done all my conditioning and been managed really carefully.
“Then you’ve got to step it up. You know that is coming. But in the first drill of that session, my hamstring went again. Man, that was the toughest moment for me. A real hard one. But you’ve got to understand it, accept it, and then get back to work.

“There is nothing I regret about it. Of course, at the start, it’s difficult not being able to do what you love. You sort of feel that stress. This was my first big injury, though, so I knew there was something I could take from the experience.”
Trevoh Chalobah has bounced back
It could not have been easy for Chalobah, but not picking up a serious injury until 24 shows that he has been quite durable and fortunate in his career so far.
Nevertheless, it was still a huge setback for the Chelsea academy graduate, but he has quickly put it behind him.
Since returning from injury, Chalobah has got himself into the equation, with Mauricio Pochettino using him in games against Manchester City, Liverpool, Leeds United and Brentford.
Injuries to other players, such as Benoit Badiashile, have helped him. But those matches versus City and Liverpool were huge ones; Pochettino must have an element of trust in the player. He will now be hoping to get the nod again when Chelsea take on Newcastle United tomorrow.
