Thiago Silva has now taken to social media to give his reaction to a serious achievement for one of the youth teams at Chelsea yesterday.
He reposted an Instagram story from his son, Iago, after the Blues 13 side were named champions of the Southern Premier League.
It is known that Silva has an affection to the club off the pitch off the back of his son’s place at the club deep in the academy system at Cobham.
This is why it will be a tough situation for him to move on from the club at the end of the season, when his contract is currently set to expire.
There are reportedly no intentions for the club to renew his deal for another season, meaning his extremely successful twilight spell at the club will come to an end in probably underwhelming circumstances.

The Brazilian’s affection for Chelsea has stemmed much further than just the first team. He has been a big fan of things going on at Cobham on a youth level.
Yesterday, the U13s side where his son plays overcame a 3-0 first half deficit against Arsenal to eventually win 5-3, being named champions of their league in the process.

Silva quickly reposted a story of the victory accompanied by some congratulatory emojis.
It remains to be seen if the veteran defender will be back in action himself today after a spell on the sidelines recently.
Chelsea are particularly short of options at the back after Levi Colwill was added to a list of injured players that seems to get bigger by the day.
The Brazilian has not been in action since before the EFL Cup final, although his presence looks as if it will be essential as they look to return up towards the European places in the Premier League.
