Cole Palmer has now shared what manager Mauricio Pochettino told his Chelsea players midway through their Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
He told the Evening Standard that the manager reminded them that they have to be brave in possession after a laboured first half last night.
Palmer provided two late assists for the Blues as they picked up a thrilling late victory against Palace in the London derby.
Chelsea supporters will have been a bit worried about things at the break, with them behind after conceding a goal that will have frustrated Noni Madueke in particular.
However, the Blues came out in a completely different gear after the break, with the introduction of Christopher Nkunku playing a big part in that.
Palmer has now given an insight into what Pochettino said to his players to try and encourage them into turning things around.
He said: “The manager helps us all every day. It’s just little conversations telling us what to do. He supports us massively, and credit goes to the manager for keeping us together. He has been amazing [with me] from the first day.

“When I first came in, he just put his arm around me and gave me the freedom and confidence to go out there and play — so, yes, I’m enjoying it.
Palmer on what Pochettino said
“We decided we needed an intensity switch to step it up a gear [in the second half]. It was a bit sluggish. At half-time, we had a chat. The gaffer said it is all good telling us tactics, but it is down to us to show some intensity, play forward, and be brave.
“We are a close bunch of lads; we’ve been there for each other all season, and performances may not reflect that. You can see it in the fans, but we are sticking together. Thankfully, we got three points.”
The Blues will be well aware that they will need to be a lot better from the start next time out against Manchester City, as well as the EFL Cup final the week after against Liverpool.
