Wesley Fofana may have just confirmed Chelsea’s next signing.

So far this summer, Chelsea have recruited Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian and Omari Kellyman.

With it only being July 1, though, the Blues are unlikely to stop there.

In fact, Chelsea should definitely land at least one more player before the transfer window closes after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall underwent a medical with the club on Sunday.

It is a move that will see the midfielder quickly reunite with his former manager Enzo Maresca.

Wesley Fofana hints Chelsea deal is done

Fofana seems excited about one imminent arrival at Chelsea.

The central defender has shared a post on his Instagram story containing a few emojis and the number 22, which is, of course, the number Dewsbury-Hall wears at Leicester.

Brighton & Hove Albion were also keen on Dewsbury-Hall, but they have lost out to their Premier League rivals.

The 25-year-old’s expected arrival could see Conor Gallagher depart Chelsea. The Englishman is into the final 12 months of his contract, giving his club a decision to make this summer.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea have agreed to pay Leicester £30m for Dewsbury-Hall’s signature.

Will Wesley Fofana and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall both be starters at Chelsea next season?

If Fofana can stay fit, you would expect him to get a good run in the team under Maresca.

After all, the Frenchman is one of the most expensive signings in Chelsea’s history and has barely played since arriving in west London because of injury.

The club’s owners are going to want to see him get a real opportunity, so at some point Fofana is going to have to be a starter.

It will be a bit different for Dewsbury-Hall, though, who is coming in for not the largest of fees and may have to compete against Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez for a spot in the team.

The Englishman, then, will probably be a squad player, though already knowing Maresca could aid him.
