Chelsea had to come from behind to secure a point away at Brentford in Saturday’s Premier League encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Once again, the Blues flattered to deceive and, unlike in the midweek FA Cup meeting with Leeds, they couldn’t get over the line and secure the win.
Admittedly, things could’ve gone even worse for Chelsea, who trailed going into the last 10 minutes of the match.
In the end, a late Axel Disasi header earned a share of the spoils after Brentford had initially turned things around through Mads Roerslev and Yoane Wissa.
Mykhaylo Mudryk came on in the 69th minute of the match, replacing Enzo Fernandez, but sadly he didn’t have much of an impact.
The 22-year-old, who scored and delivered a man-of-the-match performance last time out, didn’t see much of the ball as the visitors chased the game.
Chelsea’s current struggles have led to a fair few opposition fans having fun at their expense, online and in the stands.

For instance, The Athletic’s Brentford reporter Jay Harris took to X to report how some Bees fans were booing Mudryk, as well as chanting ‘you should have signed for a big club’.
Mykhaylo Mudryk deserved to start for Chelsea v Brentford – opinion
Mudryk’s performance against Leeds surely warranted a spot in the starting XI against Brentford.
The 22-year-old has shown what he can do when he starts a match, and yet he gets dropped and is thrown on at 2-1 down to save the game.
Mudryk needs to start regularly, particularly in wake of a solid performance as was the case this week.
This will enable him to gain momentum and confidence, and then we’ll have a proper player on our hands. Until then, it’ll probably be more of the same as today.
