Chelsea produced a dramatic late show to beat Manchester United 4-3 yesterday in a Premier League game that threatened to boil over a couple of times.

The Blues will be feeling hugely relieved after Cole Palmer scored twice deep in stoppage time to earn three valuable points in the Premier League classic showdown.

It looked like Mauricio Pochettino’s side were heading for a 3-2 loss as the clock ticked over 90 minutes. However, hat-trick hero Palmer netted twice in the final two minutes to turn a crazy game on its head.

It’s certainly not the kind of return Man United’s Mason Mount will have hoped for on his comeback to west London.

Mason Mount receives cold reception

Mount, 25, was back on Chelsea turf for the first time since his high-profile summer switch to Old Trafford.

The English attacking midfielder started from the bench and watched most of it from dugout before his late cameo.

Journalist Samuel Luckhurst claimed via X that Mount was already receiving some boos from Chelsea fans when warming up. Meanwhile, journalist Nizaar Kinsella added via X that Mount received taunts from some Chelsea supporters in the stands during the contest.

Mount came on in the 86th minute to a chorus of boos with the visitors leading 3-2. However, by the full-time whistle the game had changed and Chelsea won 4-3.

What Enzo Fernandez did to Mason Mount at full-time

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, 23, is one player we noticed extra pumped up and full of aggression in last night’s game. In particular, him and a former teammate were showing no love between each other.

In a video shared via CFCDaily on X, Fernandez and Mount could be seen still aggressively arguing on the pitch moments after the full-time whistle.

The duo shared a dressing room together at Chelsea in the second half of last season, so it’s a slight surprise for us to see. It was certainly a passionate night for everyone involved, though.

On top of his Mount disagreement, Fernandez was earlier in a big argument with Casemiro, which was a classic case of Argentina versus Brazil.
