Reports have begun to hint that some people at Chelsea are considering selling Raheem Sterling at the end of this season.
It has been claimed that some senior members of staff are looking towards a youthful core in attack, with this seemingly not including the experienced England international.
Sterling has been close to a certainty in the side since Mauricio Pochettino took over the club last summer.
This included starting him in the EFL Cup final, leaving the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Mykhailo Mudryk on the bench.
While some upstairs seem to have made their mind up on Sterling, this does not necessarily echo the thoughts of the manager.
The Chelsea Chronicle spoke to HITC Insider Graeme Bailey about what Pochettino is thinking about the situation.
What Pochettino thinks about selling Sterling
He said: “For instance, Raheem Sterling – it’s the hierarchy that wants him out, not necessarily Pochettino. But that’s just the Chelsea world we’re living in now.

“Same with Gallagher – the players want Gallagher to stay, but they know it’s nothing to do with Poch.”
The pressure is firmly on Pochettino after a string of poor results and performances, culminating with the defeat at Wembley last weekend.
It has been claimed that there are some who are already analysing a number of other candidates for the role if they need a new boss in the coming weeks or months.
Reports have stated that Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon would be their dream appointment, and it has been claimed he is keen on a move to England.
However, they are likely to face a lot of competition for his signature, with Liverpool also in the running for a new boss at the end of this season.
It remains to be seen whether either Sterling or Pochettino will be at Stamford Bridge when next season gets underway.
