Alesha Dixon has revealed new Britain’s Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli’s enthusiasm has left her with ‘Bruno bruises’.

Speaking on Thursday’s Lorraine the singer, 44, joked that sitting next to the former Strictly star, 67, has left her a little worse for wear.

She told the host: ‘I had a few Bruno bruises, thats what I like to call them’ clarifying that they were made unintentionally she said: ‘He likes to grab the arm’.

Bruno joined the ITV talent show earlier this year after David Walliams, 51, quit the when it was revealed he had called an elderly contestant a ‘c***’ and made vile sexual remarks about a woman taking part. 

Alesha went on to say that Bruno struggled on understand the rules: ‘On day two we just threw the rule book away and this is the year of anything goes.’

She continued: ‘Every single year without fail you are seeing something that you have never seen before. After the last few years that we have had people are excited to get on stage and show of their talents the level this year has been phenomenal.’ 

The TV personality looked sensational for her TV appearance in plunging ribbed mini-dress that hugged every inch of her figure.

She opted for a radiant make-up palette and tied back her raven tresses into a low ponytail. 

Alesha completed the look with a selection of gold jewellery and beamed as she chatted away to host Lorraine Kelly.

Elsewhere in the chat she opened up about her upcoming hosting duties at The Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool in May.

She said: ‘We’ve got a big responsibility stepping in for Ukraine we have to rep their culture. It’s in Liverpool which is the city of music. I can’t wait to see who represents the UK.

‘Music unites people it makes people feel good and we need it more than anything right now. I can’t wait to see who represents the UK.’

Presenting the grand final on May 13 to a global audience of 160 million Alesha join will be Eurovision legend Graham Norton, along with Ukrainian singer, composer and frontwoman of The Hardkiss alternative band, Julia Sanina.

As well as Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Waddingham.

Presenting the two live semi-finals on May 9 and 11 from Liverpool will be Julia, Hannah and Alesha.

Ukrainian broadcaster Timur Miroshnychenko will be the Eurovision correspondent in Liverpool, appearing in VT inserts during the live shows and giving live insights from Ukraine’s commentary box in the Liverpool Arena.

He will front the opening ceremony live stream on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube Channel alongside Liverpudlian presenter Sam Quek.

For the grand final commentary on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, Graham and comedian Mel Giedroyc will take turns in the commentary box to bring those watching at home their unique and expert views on the 2023 acts.

For the first time in the UK’s Eurovision Song Contest history, both semi-finals will be live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Radio DJs Scott Mills and Rylan will bring UK audiences their colourful commentary.

There will be a special commentary team on BBC Radio Merseyside, which will include Claire Sweeney and the winner of The Voice of Eurovision talent search, which is currently underway to discover new Liverpudlian talent.
