Aubrey Plaza stars as the co-founder of fictional beverage company Wood Milk in Got Milk’s hilarious new promotional campaign
Aubrey Plaza starred in a video for Got Milk’s new spoof campaign that was released on her Instagram account on Thursday.
In the clip, the 38-year-old comedian promoted items from the fictional company Wood Milk, which she described as ‘absolutely not’ real.
The star of The White Lotus, who recently joined one of her old costars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, was also featured in several promotional shots for the campaign, in which she showed off its merchandise.
Plaza began the video, which was shot in a heavily wooded area, by gazing at a tree and asking: ‘Have you ever looked a tree and thought: “Can I drink this?”‘
The actress, who serves as the co-founder of the fake company, went on to introduce Wood Milk and spoke about the high quality of the fictional product.

‘Here at Wood Milk Orchards, we’re certain that our artisanal Wood Milk will be the only milk you’ll want to drink for the rest of your life. Why? Because I said so,’ she stated.
The performer described Wood Milk as ‘bottled right here in the forest where the trees hit the dirt, which locks in the flavors like cherry, maple and of course, mahogany.’
She added: ‘If you can’t pick your favorite, that’s okay, because they all taste like wood.’
Plaza went on to show viewers how Wood Milk was physically made, and showed a piece of bark being ‘squished into a slime that’s legal to sell.’
The Parks and Recreation actress then posed a question to her viewers: ‘Got wood?’
The actress concluded the clip by expressing that Wood Milk was a completely fictional product.
She stated: ‘Is Wood Milk real? Absolutely not. Only real milk is real. Then what did I invest in?’
Plaza was also seen while wearing a shirt bearing Wood Milk’s apparent slogan in one of the promo shots.

A press release for the promotional campaign was also released, in which the frivolousness of the fictional product was discussed.
‘Wood Milk’s fresh, new campaign is designed to inspire the next generation of milk drinkers and wood-based enthusiasts with a beverage that is made from trees but tastes nothing like milk and has none of the nutritional benefits,’ it read.
According to the release, Wood Milk was formulated with the utmost concern for environmental regulations.
The product was said to be sourced from ‘bio-diverse, eco-friendly, artisanal, free-range wood forests. Using a state of the art “Wood Milking” process, Wood Milk is created fresh from a unique blend of trunks, roots and branches.’
