Britain’s Got Talent viewers switched off during the live semi-finals on ITV.
Fans of the competition watching at home felt forced to ditch the show, because they were unable hear the acts due to the audience ‘screaming like hyenas.’
Taking to social media, BGT viewers voiced their annoyance that people in the crowd made excessive noise, even noting that one particular individual sounded like a ‘banshee.’
One person tweeted: ‘wow that girl screaming in the audience is so annoying #bgt,’ while another stated: ”Will switch off during this bit #bgt #annoyinglittles**ts.’
‘#bgt is unwatchable, all that ridiculous screaming, you can’t hear a flipping word anyone says. Switched off @ITV,’ fumed someone else.

‘Can the audience calm down, so we can hear the results #BGT #BGT2023,’ begged one viewer as another tweeted: ‘He’s incredible. Wish the audience would shut up. Ridiculous screaming hyenas #bgt.’
‘@bgt Please turn down the mics on the audience as you cant hear what the acts are saying, all you can hear is the audience @antanddec @SimonCowell #bgt,’ asked someone else.’
‘If they can tell Simon to be quiet why can’t they tell the bl**dy catcalling audience?!? #BGT,’ asked another, while someone else fumed: ‘The audience get on my t*ts #bgt.’
The complaints came as Irish schoolboy Cillian O’Connor, 13, sailed through to the final of Britain’s Got Talent on Friday night, after stunning viewers and winning the semi-finals’ last public vote.
The young magician took to the stage for the last live semi-final and used Simon Cowell, 63, as part of his memorable act.
During his performance, Cillian made a unique hanky, that was marked by Simon, jump from the judges’ table to the inside of an apple before making himself disappear from the stage.
After the performance, the judges and viewers at home were left absolutely stunned by the act, and judge Bruno Tonioli, 67, claimed it was simply ‘spellbinding’.
Amanda Holden, 52, also said she was ‘lost for words’ while Simon added ‘There’s just something about you’.

However, after the show, there were just two places left up for grabs and viewers believed Cillian had a very high chance of getting through.
Once all performances of the night were wrapped up, Ant and Dec then took to the stage to announce who was going to be sailing through to Sunday’s grand final.
And of course, Cillian surpassed all expectations as Ant and Dec revealed he was the winner of the semi-final, leaving Cillian in a state of shock and overwhelmed with the result.
It comes before Funny man Tonikaku and Liverpool dancer Lilliana Clifton were the next two highest-scoring acts, however, the judges could only choose one for a place in the final.
And in the end, they voted for Lilliana Clifton to join Cillian for Sunday’s grand final.
The acts sent home during the last semi-final of this year’s series were dance troupe The Pixiebelles, dancing duo Romeo and Icy, comedienne nurse Georgie Carroll, singer Cammy Barnes and dance group Unity
And those due to compete in the final on Sunday are choirboy Malakai Bayoh, danger-fuelled aerial acrobatic performers, Duo Odyssey, amputee dancer Musa Motha and singer Amy Lou.
Success: Also joining him in the final on Sunday will be dancer Lillianna Clifton after she was picked by the judges
They will be joined by clown and comedian Viggo Venn, singer Olivia Lynes, dance troupe Ghetto Kids and singer Travis George.
However, things will change before Sunday, as it was revealed the judges would decide on a wildcard choice to be brought back to the show for the final, with the act being revealed during the upcoming programme.
The winner of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent will be announced at the end of Sunday’s show, with the champion winning £250,000 and the opportunity to perform during the Royal Variety Performance later this year.
The Britain’s Got Talent final airs on Sunday at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
