Stephen Reid has been causing carnage on the cobbles by drugging his boss Carla Connor.
And during Monday’s episode, Carla had enough of Stephen’s tricks and fired him from the factory as she returned to work.
Before she came back to work, Stephen had a meeting with the factory workers. He said: ‘What I’m about to suggest is pretty radical. You probably already know 50% of the factory is owned by Carla, and 50% by the staff.
‘We all know Carla has suffered from mental health issues in the past and it seems these problems have returned. Sarah and I are having trouble making decisions in the business without full control.
‘I’m suggesting we take the pressure off Carla, I’m suggesting those with stakes in the company take a vote of no confidence to take the shares off Carla.’

All of the staff showed their loyalty to Carla by unanimously voting to keep her, while Faye text her to tell her about Stephen’s tricks.
As she returned to the factory, Stephen said: ‘I still think you might be coming back to work too soon, I’m more than capable of holding down the fort.
She angrily shouted: ‘Did you really think no one would tell me what’s been going on? A vote of no confidence? You are a snake! You tried to throw me under the bus, you’re fired!
Stephen quipped: ‘You can’t just sack me, you need me, I’m valuable!’
Later in the episode, Carla finds Stephen to ask him to come back to the factory after learning a huge client will only do a deal with him.
The soaps villain said: ‘I’ll only come back as manager, your number two’

It comes after the serial killer accidentally spikes his own drink with LSD, leading to a jaw-dropping reaction during a work presentation.
Stephen has been lacing Carla’s tea with LSD as revenge for his lowly position in the factory, with her reaction nearly leading to tragedy when she ran over Paul Foreman.
High on the drugs, Stephen takes a trip down memory lane before pulling out of the presentation, and as punishment Carla removes him from the deal.
As a furious Stephen heads off to buy more drugs, the two lads pocket his money and laugh in his face – could the cobbles’ newest murderer claim even more victims?
In the episodes, Carla (Alison King) is in the midst of preparing for the Nippersnapper presentation, and Stephen (Todd Boyce) secretly laces her tea with LSD.
Carla takes a sip but spits it out, complaining he’s used full fat milk, and Stephen quickly realises he’s given her the wrong one, meaning either he or Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) have drunk the drugs.
As they arrive at the hotel for the presentation Stephen takes to the stage, but his vision becomes blurred and he starts to sweat profusely.
Stephen soon realises in horror that he must have taken the LSD, and his reaction sends him on a wild trip down memory lane.
Later, Carla berates Stephen for pulling out of the presentation, leaving Sarah to carry on, making it clear he’s to have nothing more to do with the American deal.
A seething Stephen heads to the precinct with the intent of buying more drugs.
However when two lads pocket his money and laugh in his face, Stephen sees red.

Viewers had previously predicted that Carla would be next on Stephen’s hit list, after she rubbished his claims that he was the owner of Underworld.
Steve had convinced Rufus he was the owner of Underworld when it is in fact Carla and, when Carla stepped in to prove that she was in charge and owned the garment designs, Steve looked as if he was seething with Carla, giving her a sinister look.
The villain has already claimed two victims, previously murdering Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost) and Leo’s father Teddy (Grant Burgin), and it likely won’t be long before he claims another…
