EastEnders fans were left in complete shock on Tuesday night when Nish Panesar smacked his son Ravi after learning of his affair with married Denise Fox.
The episode took a very dramatic turn after Denise finally came clean to her husband Jack Branning about her affair with Ravi, and his attempts to blackmail her.
After learning of the affair, Jack (Scott Maslen) turned up at Nish’s party to confront Ravi (Aaron Thiara) and told the entire venue about his affair with Denise.
Nish (Navin Chowdhry) then defended his son and told Jack to leave, telling the crowds that everything the police officer had said was just a ‘vendetta’ against Ravi.
However, when Ravi later went around to his father’s house to apologise, Nish exploded in a fit of rage and hit Ravi across the face, sending him flying into a table.

Nish’s wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal), who he is abusive towards, then defended her husband in a bid to avoid his violent rages, with Ravi leaving their home.
Fans were left gobsmacked by the shocking turn of events, deeming Nish’s actions as ‘scary’ as they admitted they didn’t ‘expect’ the horrific events.
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: ‘That punch Nish gave Ravi f**king hell that scared me just as it did Suki and Ravi. That’s what Nish is capable of.’
Another tweeted: ‘Nish is vile. How he can attacked his own son like that. But we know he’ll attack anyone for his own pride. Like he didn’t go to jail himself.’
A third said: ‘Nish has some nerve having a go Ravi when he has bought shame on the family for years.’
While a fourth penned: ‘Whoa, Nish throwing Ravi a hard punch and giving him a tongue lashing. Suki backing up Nish for shaming the family.’
And another added: ‘I didn’t expect Nish to whack him one.’
The tense scene saw Ravi sheepishly apologising to his father for Jack confronting him about the affair at his party.
Ravi said: ‘Dad I just wanted to say sorry for ruining your party like that, I know what it meant to you. And thank you, for standing up for me like you did, it meant a lot.’

Nish asked: ‘Is that why you think I said what I said?’, and Ravi said: ‘Why else would you say it?’
But Nish raged: ‘Because I had no choice! I defended you in public, but now we’re alone you want to know what I really think?
‘You’re pathetic, you’re an embarrassment to this family… you humiliate me… how do you repay me? With shame, and I’ll never forgive you for that.’
Nish then shockingly hit his son across the face, sending him flying backwards on to a wooden coffee table and a plate smashed on the floor.
Shocked by her husband’s rage, Suki said: ‘Your father’s right, you have shamed the family. I think you should leave.’
It was not the only violent scene Ravi was involved in, as Jack punched him after Denise (Diane Parish) finally told him about their affair.
Jack was left enraged when Denise finally came clean about her affair and stormed out of the house with tears streaming down his face before confronting Ravi.
The police officer stormed into Nish’s party and began yelling at Ravi, before they became embroiled in a tense confrontation outside the venue.
Arriving at the party to confront Ravi, Jack shouted: ‘Get outside now. Are you going to tell them? Tell them, go on! Or I will!’
But Nish said: ‘My son doesn’t have to answer to you.’
To which Jack replied: ‘Not even if he seduced my wife and blackmailed her to get at me’
He also fumed: ‘Like I said before, get out! I’m coming for you, perverting the course of justice, blackmail, harassment! With your record they’re going to throw away the key!’
Defending Ravi, Nish said: ‘This man has a vendetta against my family, every word he said is a lie.’
Ravi, who is dating Denise’s daughter Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams), was then left in an awkward moment as his girlfriend stormed out of the party.
Outside the party, Jack then confronted Ravi, saying: ‘If there’s one good thing to come out of this mess, it’s that Chelsea has seen through you too.’
To which Ravi said: ‘I wouldn’t be so sure of that, she’s had a taste now, and you know what they say, once they’ve had a taste, they always come back for more.’
But Jack said: ‘I’m going to get my satisfaction watching you in the dock.’
Egging Jack on, Ravi revealed: ‘You said I harassed Denise, that’s not true. You can’t harass a woman like her into bed. She didn’t tell you that bit then?’
Jack said: ‘You’re lying, but Ravi insisted: ‘No, I’ve got a map of her naked body up here. That beautiful skin, glistening.’
Jack then flew off the handle in a fit of rage and punched Ravi, with the pair becoming embroiled in a tense scrap before Denise broke them apart.
Denise and Jack then returned home together, where Jack continued to probe his wife about her affair.
He asked: ‘He said you went to bed with him, is that true?’

She said: ‘But I didn’t have sex with him, I realised I made a mistake and I came home, I didn’t lie about that.
‘I love you and I think we can get through this, people get through worse. We just need to keep talking.’
But Jack insisted: ‘No, I ain’t going to talk about this. Every time I look at you, I see you and him together, in bed, his hands all over you and your face in that moment. Talking ain’t going to sort this out, I don’t think anything can.’
Denise then said she would spend the night elsewhere and was seen dramatically leaving the home, with Jack pulling the blinds closed as she left.
