Harry Styles contributed to a new tradition at his concerts last week when he helped a fan come out to her parents.

During his tour stop in Melbourne, Australia, on February 24, the 29-year-old pop star and occasional actor paused the proceedings after spotting fan with a sign.

In a viral video shared to social media and reposted by Storyful, Harry paused his concert mid-show to chat with the fan, who was named Fauve.

Although there wasn’t much of a secret left after he addressed her and her mother, who was standing next to her, as well as her father, who was in a different section, Harry still performed a quick song-and-dance number to celebrate the fan coming out.

This isn’t the first time Harry has helped a fan come out at concerts, as he previously helped fans in the process during shows from 2021 and 2022.

Harry was dressed vibrantly for the show with a pink-and-orange striped shirt decorated with sequins, along with a contrasting white collar.

He complemented the shirt with a pair of hot pink leather pants.

While addressing the fan, Harry said he had never heard the name ‘Fauve’ before, though she or her mother shouted back that it was a ‘French name.’

‘Very sophisticated!’ he replied, before sharing her sign with the rest of the massive audience.

‘Fauve’s sign says, “Help me come out. My mum’s next to me, and dad is level 2, section 41,” he read.

‘I feel like I could help,’ Harry added modestly, adding, ‘I feel like she might know’ in response to Fauve’s smother Lisa.

‘I mean, I’ve just said it and it’s on the screen.’

Harry, who has helped fans come out in recent years and to announce other major life events, asked, ‘Would you like us to go through out Love On Tour coming-out process?’

‘This is the first time we’re taking this Down Under, so prepare yourselves,’ he said. ‘Everything’s gonna be upside down!’

Then Harry’s band supplied him with some ‘coming-out music,’ which turned out to be a funky disco-inflected groove.

‘Are you happy with the music? This suits the occasion?’ he said as he checked in with Fauve.

‘Let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!’ he shouted out to the rhythm of the music while raising his hands to pump up the audience before he turned around and gyrated on stage at the climactic moment.

‘Fauve is out!’ he said at the conclusion of the short number. ‘It’s done!’ he added as he pumped his fist triumphantly.

‘You rise to the heavens of freedom, Fauve!’ he shouted after the display. ‘Enjoy yourself!’

While speaking to Storyful, the person who filmed the encounter noted that it was her friend who brought the sign along to get Harry’s attention, though she presumably kept it secret until it was time to hold it high.

Harry’s display on tour preceded a report in Us Weekly in which a source claimed that his ex-girlfriend Olivia Wilde was ‘ready to date again.’

The Insider claimed she had devised new expectations for future relationships after their split in November 2022.

The actress is now ‘making it clear she’s available, and she isn’t looking for anything less than an amazing guy.’

On Wednesday, Harry’s fans also got some clarity on the controversy that erupted during his film Don’t Worry Darling’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival thanks to an interview that his costar Chris Pine did with Esquire.

During the video interview, Pine confirmed that Harry never spat on him, as some obsessive fans came to believe after viewing video of the two interacting at the premiere.

‘Harry did not spit on me,’ Pine said emphatically. ‘Harry is a very kind guy. I was on the plane and we’re flying back from Venice having a great time on the plane and my publicist wakes me up and says, “We have to craft a statement on what happened in Venice.”

He admitted that, from the video’s angle, ‘It did look, indeed, like Harry spit on me,’ but he clarified again that, ‘He didn’t spit on me.’
