‘Has he had a perm?’: Jamie Oliver debuts new curly hairstyle as wife Jools shares gushing Valentine’s post dedicated to the chef
Jamie Oliver showed off his new curls after his wife Jools shared a gushing Instagram post dedicated to him on Valentine’s Day.
The chef, 47, looked almost unrecognisable in the post as he sported the new hairstyle.
Thankfully, the mum-of-five, also 47, assured fans it was the famous chef who she was kissing – dedicating the post to her ‘everything’ and ‘favourite over 30 Valentines later’.
The pair, who have been together since the age of 18, share five kids together, including Poppy Honey, 20, Daisy Boo, 19, Petal Blossom, 13, Buddy Bear, 11 and River Rocket, five.
Sharing the sweet picture with her 550,000 Instagram followers, Jools penned: Happy [love] day to my everything and my favourite over 30 Valentines later xxx’.

Taking to the comment section, fans couldn’t believe Jamie’s new look – doubting that it was even him.
One fan wrote: ‘Not Jamie is it??’
While another questioned: ‘Who is that with her?’
‘Uh where’s Jamie? Looks different’, another fan said.
Commenting on his hair, one said: ‘Has Jamie had a perm? It’s not him is it??’
Jamie’s new hair comes after he revealed that he couldn’t poach an egg until he read Delia Smith’s 1998 book How To Cook.
Speaking about the revelation, Oliver told The Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff: ‘My Delia dish — I think probably her genius moment — was how to poach an egg.’
The celebrity chef recalled that the book’s ultra-simple cover — which featured eggs in a bowl — was the subject of some mockery on its release.

‘I actually remember some of the buyers saying: “Well that will never work; it’s a really boring cover.” It was the number one bestseller for yonks.
‘I could cook many, many things by the time that book came out — but my nemesis was poaching an egg. Honestly it was.
‘So thanks Delia — fixed that.’
Smith’s method is fuss-free – she counsels bringing the water up to a bare simmer, cracking an egg into it, simmering for two minutes; and then turning off and leaving for ten minutes.
