Kelly Rowland got leggy on Monday when she donned sheer tights and modeled a black sweatshirt from her own clothing line.

The Destiny’s Child alum – who rocked her 42nd birthday in a busty velvet gown – wore a leotard underneath her pullover and sported sultry stilettos.

Rowland’s sweatshirt read ‘THIS IS BLACK MAGIC’ in bright white lettering and she playfully held a red rose up to her lips.

Kelly’s caption echoed her sweatshirt’s message with pride, helping her website sell out of the item.

The Grammy winner donned a chic bob and flawless glam, allowing her face to be showcased above her sensational legs.

The sweatshirt’s message is an ode to Rowland’s 2021 song Black Magic – a powerful track about being ‘unapologetically Black and proud and full of joy.’

The X Factor star spoke about the song during an appearance on Today in 2021, revealing that she didn’t always have the confidence that her song champions.

‘I did notice it with certain photo shoots or with people being honest and saying, “Well, we can’t have her for this campaign. She’s a bit too dark.”

‘Did it affect me? For a while it did because I was thinking, “Well, if I’m darker, then does that mean I’m [not] going to get the same opportunities?’

Kelly eventually found her confidence and strength by looking up to role models like Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston.

‘My confidence took a while [and] there was some times I was faking it until I made it. The girl who would possibly feel like [I did], I have to bring her along for the journey [and] I have to stand up for her.’

During an interview at SXSW, Rowland spoke about her own role models, saying, ‘Janet [Jackson] did it for me, Whitney [Houston] did it for me…and Michelle Obama does it for me.’

The Say My Name songstress went on to add, ‘We have to see all colors – that’s what I loved the most about Destiny’s Child and that’s what I respected the most about Destiny’s Child, is you saw a chocolate one, you saw the one that was in-between, and you saw the fairer one.’

Kelly has opened up in the past about what advice she would give to young Black boys and girls living in America today.

Speaking to Nylon, the hitmaker said that it’s crucial for the Black community to get out and vote, adding, ‘…it’s important, moving forward, to not move in fear but to move openly – to move with intent to change and to be part of that change.’

She went on to say, ‘You just want to make sure that you’re a good example. I want to be a great example for my son.’

Kelly shares two boys with her husband Tim Weatherspoon – Titan Jewell, eight, and Noah Jon, two.

The couple married in 2014 and Kelly gushed to ET about her talent manager husband in 2020, saying, ‘He still motivates me to get up and work out and say the sweetest things and wants to be supportive and wants us to be great together…I love him.’

The multiplatinum artist opened up to Women’s Wear Daily in 2021 about balancing music and motherhood.

Kelly also spoke about the importance of Black History Month and how it is a crucial part of her parenting.

‘I feel like Black history should be year-round,’ she said. “There’s been so many different heroes that have been seen and have been celebrated, but there are some who have not…’

She added: ‘I like to make sure that whether it’s me learning about a new hero or teaching my son about a new hero, I’m always excited about that history month.

‘That hasn’t changed since I was a kid. Introducing my son to it is really exciting for me, because he gets to learn about all his Black heroes.’

In an interview with The Grio in 2021, Kelly spoke about telling one’s own story, saying, ‘I think the only story that you can tell is your own.

‘I think that it is important to be authentic and to be proud of the space and place that you walk in and be able to share it possibly with others.’

And when it comes to spreading ‘Black Magic,’ Rowland is all about empowering women and young girls in the Black Community.

Speaking to Essence in 2020, Kelly declared: ‘[Black Women] got it all! When it comes to the sway of our hips or the way we speak – everything about us is Black Girl Magic.’
