Love Island star Jessie Wynter has revealed she was rushed to hospital in Chicago after her drink was spiked.
The reality star, 26, detailed the ‘scary’ incident on Instagram a day after sharing that she’d been hospitalised while on holiday in the US.
Jessie wrote: ‘I wasn’t sure if I should post this as I felt so embarrassed but the other night I was unfortunately rushed to hospital after my drink was spiked.
‘I was so lucky that I was with Will and he looked after me throughout the whole time especially because it was so scary.
‘It was such an awful and scary situation to be in and it breaks my heart that this is something people need to look out for.

‘If you’re out drinking please always make sure you’re with someone who you trust and please be careful when sitting your drinks down or accepting drinks off others.
‘It’s so sad that this even has to be a reminder but unfortunately it’s the harsh reality. I’m so grateful to have been around so many supportive people who got me safely to hospital.
‘It was so scary, in the hospital there were other girls arriving in the exact same condition I was in and the nurses said we had all tested with the same thing in our system.
‘I felt so embarrassed that this had happened to me and felt like this was all my fault and I can imagine others have been in the same position may feel the same but this is your reminder that this is not at all your fault and it’s nothing to be embarrassed about.
‘The people that should feel embarrassed and ashamed are the awful people who choose to spike other peoples drinks, not the victim.
‘Thanks for all the lovely messages and I pray that this doesn’t happen to any of you out there. I also send love to anyone else who has been put in the same or worse situations.’
Alongside her post, Jessie also shared a trio of images of her body covered with medical patches while she recovered in hospital.

Jessie had been about to embark on her journey home to Australia with boyfriend Will when she fell ill.
She told her followers on social media on Monday that she’d unexpectedly taken ill the day before she was due to leave, saying: ‘Not how we thought the trip would be ending.’
She also posted a picture which showed off a bar coded medical bracelet on her wrist bearing the initial IMC as well as a couple of 3M Red Dot body monitoring electrode pads on her wrist and stomach whilst an assessment was being made.
Jessie, who didn’t reveal the cause of her hospital visit, later told her fans: ‘Thanks for the messages!! You guys are the sweetest! I’m okay now.’
She also shared pictures of her and Will earlier in the day of the trip and said: ‘Our first baseball game We had so much fun at the game!! I can’t explain how much fun we’ve had in Chicago!
‘It can be scary going to a new city, let alone country but we both got out of our comfort zones and tried to get out and see as much as we could and we had an absolute blast! Everyone has been so lovely to us while we have been here !!’
She added: ‘Going to the US has always been on my bucket list and here I am with the love of my life having the best time! I could never have imagined life to be this good. Thank you so much Chicago for the best time everrr!!

Fans were concerned by Jessie’s post with many sending her get well messages.
One fan said: ‘But are you ok?? That story with the medical bracelet- what happened??’
Another added: ‘I was wondering too? Hope they’re ok.’
And a third said: ‘Right?! She can’t just post that and not say what happened and if she’s okay or not ??!:( ‘

Jessie, who starred on Love Island Australia in 2019 before appearing on the UK version of the show this year, has been travelling around America with beau Will.
Their relationship has been going from strength-to-strength after leaving the Love Island villa in South Africa last month.
The couple narrowly missed out on making it to the final and came in fifth place after they were voted out by their fellow Islanders.
It comes after Jessie hit back at a wild rumour that her youngest sister is secretly her daughter.
The reality star told Cosmopolitan UK the strangest gossip she has heard about herself, saying it was claimed her baby sister, two, is actually her child.
Jessie said there was a rumour circulating that she had gone to Tasmania to secretly give birth two years ago.

Shutting down the wild rumours, Jessie insisted that her youngest sister, whose name is not known, is definitely not her child.
She told Cosmopolitan UK: ‘The weirdest rumour I’ve heard about myself is that my baby sister who’s two-years-old is my baby.
‘There was a rumour that I moved back to Tasmania to give birth to the child and then pretended that it was my mum’s, but it’s my sister, I promise I haven’t had a kid.’
As well as her baby sister, Jessie – who is from Australia – also has another younger sister Rachel, 23, and a brother Brock.
