Shock on Australian Survivor as Nina Twine is sent home after her bid to call out George Mladenov’s sneaky tactics backfires

Nina Twine was sent home during a drama-filled Australian Survivor: Heroes v Villains on Monday.

In a poorly-judged tactical error, the 24-year-old American made the mistake of turning on George Mladenov by calling him out on his clever game play.

She claimed the remaining castaways, including Gerry Geitch, have been looking to George as leader of an alliance.

Realising her error, Nina admitted that speaking out against both George and Gerry was a mistake.

Nina was voted off the island three votes to two – with George casting the crucial ballot against her.

But Nina was not going to leave without having the last word.

In a moment of high drama, Nina hugged survivor Liz Parnov as she made her goodbyes and warned the Olympic champ to steer clear of George.

A runner-up on Australian Survivor: Brains vs. Brawn, George was known to frustrate fans for his habit of giving up on challenges.

But this season the political operative from Bankstown, Sydney has earned a reputation as ‘King’ of the jungle for his ability to stack alliances his way.

The ‘spin doctor’ uses flattery to befriend castaways as a way to manipulate the votes – a tactic that forced Nina to speak out.

The last four remaining castaways are now George, Liz, Gerry and Gold coast lifeguard, Matt Sharp.

Nina, a castaway veteran of last year’s Blood V Water, says she has regrets over her dramatic final moments this season.

‘I was trying to give them insight, that was my intention,’ she said in an interview on 10Play.

‘Of course, in hindsight, maybe I shouldn’t have said it. but it felt right in the moment…All you can do is try, and that’s what I did.’

Nina’s exit comes after her brutal departure from Australian Survivor: Blood vs. Water in 2022, when she was competing with her mother and former two-time US Survivor winner, Sandra Diaz-Twine.

Heroes V Villains is its final week, with $500,00 at stake for the prize winner.
