More than two years after the dramatic Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, Disney has release the new trailer for Season 3, debuting on Disney Plus starting March 1.

Pedro Pascal returns as the title character, with Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan Kryzee also confirmed to return, following the debut of the new Grogu poster this morning.

The third season will continue the adventures of Pascal’s title character and young Grogu, a.k.a. Baby Yoda, with Mando revealing he’s returning to his home planet of Mandalore to clear his name.

The trailer with Mando stating, ‘Our people are scattered like stars in the galaxies. What are we? What do we stand for?’

We see Mando emerging from a group of several other Mandalorians – bounty hunters who live under a strict code.

Mando is seen flying through the depths of space with Grogu, as he adds in voice over, ‘Being a Mandalorian is not just learning about how to fight, you also have to know how to navigate the galaxy. That way, you’ll never be lost.’

Mando and Grogu land their ship and reunite with Greef Carga (Carl Weathers), before he reveals his plans for this season.

‘I’m going to Mandalore, so that I may be forgiven for my transgressions,’ he says, as his ship is seen taking off as Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris) yells, ‘May the Force be with you!’

‘This is the way,’ Mando adds, while Captain Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) tells Mando, ‘There’s something dangerous happening out there, and by the time it becomes big enough for you to act, it’ll be too late.’

The trailer reveals a number of Jedi knights getting ready for battle along with a number of thrilling aerial dogfight scenes, plus another exciting shot of a number of Mandalorians dropping out of a ship.

It seems clear that Grogu is strengthening his Jedi powers, as a large creature approaches his cave but he flings it out of the way using The Force, as the trailer comes to an end.

The show debuted in 2019, taking place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, the last movie in the original Star Wars trilogy.

The series follows the title character, who was tasked with bringing Grogu to where he belonged, with many adventures along the way.

The second season ended with quite the surprise for fans – a de-aged Mark Hamill returning as Luke Skywalker.

While it’s unclear if Hamill will return in Season 3, he tweeted in December 2020, just after the episode aired, that he had been sitting on that secret for over a year.
