Sukihana has posted an Instagram statement forgiving YK Osiris for forcibly kissing at an Atlanta event for The Crew League last weekend.
YK Osiris, 24, issued a public apology on Wednesday, saying: ‘In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries.’
Two days later Sukihana, 31, revealed that he had also reached out to her ‘privately’ in order to express his regret over the incident.
‘God always forgives me and I can always forgive others,’ she wrote. ‘My accepting his apology is not my excusing or lessening the severity of his actions.’
She added: ‘He is young. It is my prayer that this experience will cause him and others to be more mindful and respect the personal boundaries of others.’

Her statement began: ‘I want to first say thank you to everyone who has reached out, your thoughtfulness has not gone unnoticed. I would like to address the event that took place on Saturday, as well as, the aftermath surrounding such.’
She shared: ‘First, I want to acknowledge that YK Osiris has apologized to me both privately and publicly and I have chosen to accept his apology. God always forgives me and I can always forgive others.’
However Sukihana, whose Christian name is Destiny Lanette Henderson, clarified: ‘My accepting his apology is not my excusing or lessening the severity of his actions. This is Destiny choosing to give grace to Osiris.
‘He is young. It is my prayer that this experience will cause him and others to be more mindful and respect the personal boundaries of others,’ she continued. ‘I am human, a woman, a mother and daughter before I am an entertainer. No matter what my lyrics express, I still have boundaries and a right to have them.’
Sukihana iterated: ‘Again, I have accepted his apology and am working towards getting back to my life. I am giving YK the grace and forgiveness that I wanted to be given to me as I was discovering and defining myself on this very public and sometimes unforgiving entertainment platform.’
YK Osiris said in his Instagram statement on Wednesday that he was contrite over his conduct with Sukihana at the gathering in Georgia.
‘I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana,’ the Jacksonville, Florida native said. ‘In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries. I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior.’
The artist, whose full name is Osiris Jahkail Williams, said he takes ‘full responsibility’ for his actions in the incident and has ‘made multiple attempts to apologize’ to Sukihana, who he holds in high regard.

Insiders told TMZ Wednesday that YK Osiris and Sukihana ‘didn’t have any sort of relationship’ ahead of the incident, which left Sukihana ’embarrassed and hurt.’

In it Sukihana could be seen sitting at the table while doing commentary for the indoor basketball league when YK Osiris came up behind her and started rubbing her bare shoulders.
He then grabbed her face and attempted to kiss her when Sukihana could be heard on the microphone exclaiming: ‘Oh my!’
One of the fellow commentators eyes opened wide and his mouth is agape as he was witnessing what was going on next to him as YK Osiris failed in his attempt to kiss her on the lips.
Sukihana could be seen nervously laughing, panting, and squealing as she said: ‘What was that?’
YK Osiris then took advantage as he went in for the kiss again as she continued to yell as he actually made contact with her lips this time around.

Sukihana looked in disbelief as she looked to the fellow commentators who barely acknowledged it.
Sources later told TMZ that Sukihana did not want to make it a big deal when the incident occurred and tried to maintain her professionalism but actually felt like it was disturbing.
Sukihana has not addressed the incident directly but did take to her Twitter on Tuesday to post: ‘I drink to hide that I’m very sensitive. I feel things more then the average person.
‘I stopped drinking yesterday but today I’ve been crying all day. I asked God to strengthen me and use me to help others and to order my steps in his word. I just want to go away for a while [peace sign hand emoji]’

News outlets reported that he was arrested Monday, November 18, 2019 on a felony charge of aggravated assault by strangulation.
Fulton County police said YK Osiris was accused of attacking the woman at his 21st birthday party in September of that year.
A police report says the woman confronted him about a photo of a towel-clad woman on his phone and he threatened to slap her. She told police he chased her up a flight of stairs and cornered her in a bathroom, where he then choked and bit her.
Jail records say the rapper was born in Jacksonville, Florida, but currently lives in Braselton, Georgia. He was featured on XXL Magazine’s list of up-and-coming rappers before the alleged incident.
