Ice-T was certainly feeling the birthday love as he turned 66 on Friday, February 16 with Mariska Hargitay and wife Coco leading tributes.
The O.G. Original Gangster’s longtime Law & Order: Special Victims Unit co-star, Mariska, took to her Instagram page and shared a special b-day message to him from the set of their hit crime drama series.
‘Hey guys, I’m on the set, a very glamorous set – super glamorous on a Friday,’ the actress, 60, said while looking straight into the camera, while other members of the cast and crew worked on a scene just feet away.
‘We’re shooting in the morgue, but it’s a special day today,’ she continued. ‘You want to know why? It’s a happy day, a day to celebrate because it’s Ice-T’s birthday.’
It’s at this point that Hargitay takes a step or two to her right and wraps her right arm around Ice-T (bornTracy Lauren Marrow), who was all smiles as they proceeded to address their audience together.

Dressed in black with a gray shirt, the New jack City alum was quick to point out all the action going on behind them.
‘And guess what? I get to be with one of my favorite guest stars,’ he said while pointing in the direction of the Law & Order: SVU scene.
After getting playful with the camera and moving it to within feet of where they were about to shoot another take, the two actors moved back out of the way of the cameras, actors and producers.
‘Don’t traumatize the people,’ they both said in near tandem, as they moed back out of the room.
‘Anyway, I just want to tell the world how much I love Ice-T, who quickly reciprocated his love for her.
‘And I wish you would all join me in wishing him a happy 87th birthday,’ she said, jokingly about the 66-year-old.

The two closest people in the birthday boy’s life also took to social media to share their love and tributes on his special day.

Wife Coco Austin (born Nicole Natalie Austin), 44, wrote, ‘happy birthday Big Daddy,’ across a video showing photos of the couple together over the years, some of which includd their daughter Chanel.
‘Happy Birthday to the love of my life,’ she gushed in the caption. ‘Your the perfect man for me.. Hope you get everything in life you want cuz you deserve it!’
She added, ‘Chanel loves you and thinks your the best “Big Daddy” ever lol . LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!’
Chanel, eight, also got in on the love fest for her dad in the comments section.
‘Dear Daddy, thank you for being the coolest dad!..I’m not a good writer but i do know that I love you! Happy Birthday – Chanel,’ the little girl said of her father.
Touched by the birthday message from the youngest of his three kids, the Newark, New Jersey native, who also grew up in Los Angeles, singled out the photo they posted showing Chanel on Ice’s lap as they both gave a thumbs up.

The Body Count frontman first met his future wife on the set of a music video in 2001, on a day when he wasn’t in the best mood, so his friend brought Coco over to cheer him up.
Normally, the Gotta Lotta Love rapper doesn’t like to be introduced to new people because ‘you feel accommodated to be nice,’ but on this day he found it difficult to remain composed when he got a first-look at Coco, according to People.
‘Would you ever consider dating a gangster rapper?’ he asked the model, to which she responded that she would if he was nice. ‘I said, “Well, baby, if you take the ‘n’ off ‘nice’, you get ‘Ice,”‘ he recalled.
The line made Austin laugh. ‘I couldn’t believe he just came with that line out of nowhere,” she later wrote on her blog. “I thought it was cute, kind of cheesy in a cornball kind of way but from that moment he had my attention.’
