Police are investigating after a taxi driver was stabbed by a customer in Sydney’s west.

The taxi driver picked up a man from Eve Street in Guilford at 4.30am yesterday, when a verbal altercation broke out.

The customer allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the driver’s hands.

Police allege the customer then got out of the car and approached the driver’s side of the vehicle, physically assaulting the driver before fleeing.

The 42-year-old driver suffered cuts to his hands and arm.

Police are investigating the attack. No arrests have been made.
