Adam Woodyatt was born on 28 June 1968 in East London.

He attended two independent schools: Forest School, situated on the Epping Forest in Walthamstow in northeast London, and  Llanidloes High School in Llanidloes, Wales.

He also attended classes with cricket captain Naseer Hussain and comedy writer Sharat Sardana. Moreover, he was also part of Sylvia Young Theatre School.

The actor gives the majority of his earnings to charity. Since his father’s death from cancer at the age of 58, Woodyatt has been raising funds for various cancer research programs.

In February 2010, Woodyatt had been involved in organizing a Haitian aid event at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena with many of his friends clicking photos, signing autographs, and donating items for an auction that raised £30,000.
