Police say the trouble began around 9.40pm yesterday on Mortimer Road in Bertram where two 14-year-old boys were threatened with a knife by three men on motorbikes.

A scooter was stolen in the altercation.

Two hours later, it appears the same group of males approached another three teenagers on Safety Bay Road in Baldivis.

A fight broke out and one of the teens was stabbed in the stomach with a knife.

Premier Roger Cook today hinted WA could soon have stop-and-search laws allowing officers to randomly scan people for weapons using wands, in a bid to combat knife crime.

Police are calling for CCTV and dash cam of those areas, as investigations continue.
