A travel agency boss had revealed how her former partner’s ex left her looking like Quasimodo after she battered her with a hammer in the street.
Jayde Logan, 31, was attacked by Kaya Price, 24, after she was seen with her ex partner at a party.
Jayde from Newport, South Wales, suffered two large blows to the face and was left with a ‘horrible’ scar on her forehead.
In January, Price pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm at Newport Crown Court and is due to be sentenced in May.
Jayde said: ‘Kaya could’ve blinded me. I’ve been left with a horrible scar on my forehead and constant headaches.

Jayde met her now ex in October 2020 while out celebrating her 29th birthday.
Jayde owned her own travel agency and confided in him about the struggles she’d had with her business during the Covid lockdown but in April, 2021, the pair started arguing.
Jayde explains: ‘I’d lost thousands and eventually my business was forced to close.
‘I was really stressed and depressed. Eventually it was all too much, so we split up.’
A month later, when restrictions were lifted, Jayde bumped into her ex at a house party.
She says: ‘We went outside to talk and both realised we’d missed each other and decided to make up and get back together.
‘But when we hugged, I heard a girl shouting my name in the street.’
Jayde’s ex left and a woman from the next block of flats, allegedly marched up to Jayde and started screaming at her, ‘Come on then’ and ‘Fight me’.
Jayde says: ‘I had no idea who she was and asked her what she was doing.
‘Suddenly, she saw red, grabbed me and whacked me in the head with something shiny.’
‘My head was pounding and blood poured from it. My friends yelled at her to stop and managed to restrain her.
‘By this point, I was seeing stars and struggled to stand. Then I heard sirens, before passing out.’

When Jayde woke up, she was in The Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran.
She said: ‘I couldn’t stop crying. I was badly concussed and had the worst headache.
‘When I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror for the first time, I broke down.
‘My face was swollen and my left eye had completely fused shut.
‘My face was wonky. I looked like Quasimodo. I was a mess.’
Soon after, the consultant arrived and explained how Jayde had suffered a head injury and received 14 stitches.
Her attacker, Kaya Price, was arrested at the scene.
Jayde says: ‘I’d never seen her before in my life and her name didn’t ring any bells.
‘I wondered why she’d targeted me.’
Two days later, Jayde was discharged and a mutual friend told Jayde that Kaya fancied her ex and wanted to be with him.
Jayde says: ‘I couldn’t believe she’d attacked me over a boy. She was evil.’
While Jayde recovered from her injuries, her ex bombarded her with calls and texts asking if she was OK.
After the attack, Jayde was terrified to leave the house, fearing she’d bump into Price.
In June 2021, she moved away from the area and tried to move on with her life.
In November, 2021, Price was finally charged with wounding with intent but she denied it.
Jade says: ‘The thought of giving evidence made me feel sick.’
While she awaited trial, Jayde forced herself to socialise again, and slowly started going out with friends.
In October 2022, Jayde bumped into Price in a bar.
She says: ‘She brushed passed me and sniggered. I hated her, but scared of what she might do, I quickly left.’
In January this year, Kaya, pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm at Newport Crown Court and will be sentenced in May.
Jayde says: ‘I was relieved I wouldn’t have to go through a trial. I just hope I get justice for what she put me through.
‘She could’ve blinded me – or worse. At court I’d discovered she’d been convicted of common assault against someone else a couple of years ago.
‘She’s obviously a violent person who has never learnt her lesson.
‘Now I suffer from painful headaches and nerve damage to my jaw. I hope I never see Kaya’s face again.’
