A woman who went viral after filming the desperate hunt for her missing parrot Chanel is celebrating walking free from court after a drug trafficking charge against her was dropped.

Sandra Hannah celebrated outside the courthouse by screaming she is now ‘f*cking free’ just like her beloved Africa Grey pet parrot.

She filmed herself in a selfie video on her phone screaming: ‘Just out of court baby,  happy Friday.’

Sandra Hannah, originally rose to internet stardom in 2020 after recording herself parading the streets in Netherton, Liverpool, as she cried out for her parrot – named Chanel because her dog is called Coco, she later revealed.

Bu the 43-year-old was charged last April on suspicion of the importation of 237kg of cannabis – worth £792,000.

In the video, posted to Instagram Sandra screams: ‘I’m free, woohoo.’

She captioned the video: ‘Best day ever I’m finally free, I’m free just like Chanel when she went to the canal’

Underneath the clip, people flooded to the comments to show their support.

One friend, called Davina said: ‘You’re such a vibe congrats girl.’

The pair were also charged with the possession of criminal property.

She pleaded not guilty in a court hearing last October and was granted bail until her court date on Friday March 1.

But she was cleared after the CPS offered no evidence against her.

Despite walking free the mum, who went viral after losing her pet Parrot in 2020, could find herself in trouble once again as taking photos and videos inside the court precincts can be deemed a criminal offence under the Criminal Justice Act 1925.

The famous Liverpudlian appeared on ITV’s This Morning to tell her story – where she revealed she was reunited with her then two-year-old parrot who had escaped just over two miles down the road.
