An Antiques Roadshow guest was left stunned to discover the value of two chairs her husband bought from a charity show and were used as beds for the families dogs.
The latest episode of the BBC series came from Derry, Northern Island with one woman fetching along the furniture that cost £10 each.
Expert Mark Hill described the chairs as ‘battered but beautiful’ which the owner said was exactly her first thought when her husband brought them home.
Before admitting: ‘The orange material put me off a bit, but it doesn’t put the dogs off and they sit on one each and look out at the view’.
Mark went on to gush over the ‘beautiful’ item’s ‘curving lines and sculptural form’ before revealing them to be the work of famed American designer Adrian Persall who founded Craft Associates.

The expert said that while they would need to be ‘sanded down’ before quipping she would also have to ‘clean off the dog hair’ before being sold.
Moving onto the valuation he said: ‘You’re looking at about £600’.
Stunned the lady could only muster a ‘Thank you’ before admitting despite the value the dogs would still be allowed to sit on them.
It comes after another guest was left ‘shaking’ after learning a wine glass bought for 50p from a bric-a-brac stall turned out to be incredibly rare over and 300-years old.
She told expert Andy McConnell: ‘It belongs to my father, he saw it on a bric-a-brac stall, [the owner] wanted 10p, my father liked it so gave him 50p’.
Astounded the Antiques whizz joked: ‘Oh I really like it, can I have it for a quid?’ before going on to reveal the wine glass’ origins.
He said it was called a ‘heavy baluster’ due to the glass featuring 30% lead, and revealed it dated back to 30-years after the invention of lead crystals.
Saying: ‘George Ravenscroft perfects the formula for lead crystal in 1676, and this is 30-years afterwards. It’s about 1705-1710, which dates it at over 300-years old’.

‘And it’s rare!’ he gushed as the woman admitted the news had left her shaking.
Moving on the valuation Andy concluded with a smile: ‘£2,000’ as the woman threw her hands to her mouth gobsmacked.
Before the expert added: ‘Have a drink out of it tonight for Dad’.
