Man sleeping on a beach gets a rude awakening as he’s suddenly attacked by a crocodile

A camper had the shock of his life after waking up on a beach to a salt water crocodile snapping at his heels.
The man, 65, was resting in a sleeping bag on Newell Beach in Queensland‘s far north on Tuesday night when the crocodile approached about 9pm, according to Newsport.
He woke up to find himself face to face with the animal but managed to flee in a desperate panic.
The man checked into Mossman Hospital, which is about 7km from Newell Beach, at 10pm with a foot injury that was sustained from a bite.
It is understood one of the croc’s teeth became lodged in his foot.
He received treatment and was discharged from hospital overnight.
