Russian Twists

Sit on the floor with your knees bent and your feet flat. Lean back slightly, and lift your feet off the ground. Clasp your hands together, and twist your torso to the right, bringing your hands beside your hip. Return to the center, and twist to the left. Complete three sets of 15 reps on each side.

Side Plank Hip Lifts

Side plank hip lifts target the obliques and help stabilize the core while strengthening the muscles along the sides of the body.

Begin in a side plank position with your elbow directly beneath your shoulder and your feet stacked. Lower your hips toward the ground, then lift them back up. Keep your core engaged throughout the movement. Complete three sets of 12 reps on each side.

Bicycle Crunches

Lie flat on your back with your hands behind your head. Lift your shoulders off the ground, and bring your knees toward your chest. Straighten your right leg while bringing your left knee toward your chest, simultaneously twisting your torso to bring your right elbow toward your left knee. Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your arms extended overhead. Crunch your torso to the right while bringing your right knee toward your right elbow. Return to the starting position, and repeat on the left side. Complete three sets of 12 reps on each side.

Seated Leg Circles

(You can also lift both legs off the ground and complete circles with them together.) Reverse the direction of the circles. Complete three sets of 10 reps in each direction on each leg.
