She became a drunkard after her first pregnancy ended up in miscarriage. Later on, she gave birth to two children, Vincent and Susan. Marie would calm down Vincent when he got angry and started giving hard times to players of his team. The Green Bay Packers Players would invite her to watch their game as she was the one who could control Lombardi’s bad temper.
After the demise of Vincent in 1970, She established the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation to honor her husband. Even NFL inducted him into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Susan was the daughter of legendary coach Vincent. She was born in 1947 and was five years younger than her brother. She went to St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay, which later became Notre Dame Academy, the high school.
Susan is the mother of four children. She expired in Atlantic Beach, Florida, at the age of 73.
