Chelsea could lose a couple of their English players this summer.

Right now, the futures of a few England internationals are uncertain.

Several Premier League clubs are thought to be interested in Conor Gallagher, while Raheem Sterling has also been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The arrival of another left-back could also throw Ben Chilwell’s future into doubt.

The Blues may very well be tempted to strengthen in the 27-year-old’s position because of all of the injuries that he has had.

Chelsea star starting to accept he may have to leave Stamford Bridge

Gallagher’s contract is running down, Sterling is 29 and has struggled at Chelsea, while Chilwell keeps getting injured.

It makes sense for the club to consider moving on from the trio if that is the route that they want to go down.

According to HITC, Gallagher is even starting to accept that he may very well have to leave Chelsea if he does not sign a new deal.

Journalist Ben Jacobs recently claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Blues value the midfielder at around £50m and that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in him.

Why Conor Gallagher is ready to accept Chelsea exit

Gallagher has come through Chelsea’s academy. The 24-year-old probably does not want to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

However, he would have seen what happened with Mason Mount last summer, for example.

Like Gallagher, Mount also came through the club’s academy. But he was sold to Manchester United after entering the final 12 months of his deal, which would not have gone unnoticed.

Seeing that, then, Gallagher will be well aware that he is in the same situation that his former Chelsea team-mate was in.

The England international is not alone, though. Because of their financial issues right now, the club will probably have to consider selling other players as well.
