Gary Lineker thinks Chelsea have a really “special talent”.
Chelsea may not be performing very well in the Premier League right now, with Mauricio Pochettino‘s men currently sitting in 10th, but they still have a very good squad.
It consists of the likes of Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer and speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, Gary Lineker lauded the latter.
Palmer has been in exceptional form for Chelsea since joining them from Manchester City last summer.
In 29 appearances, the attacker has scored 12 goals and provided nine assists.

Cole Palmer a special talent
Lineker was discussing whether Palmer could be included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros and hailed him as a special player.
On the 21-year-old, the Match of the Day presenter said: “Cole Palmer, I think he has already been around things a little bit. He might make the squad. He’s a special talent, I think.”

Will Cole Palmer make the England squad?
After the season Palmer has had, he has to. Registering 16 goal contributions in the Premier League this term, the former City man has been one of the most productive attackers in the division.
We cannot forget his penalty record either. Palmer is yet to miss from the spot since joining Chelsea, even managing to score from 12 yards out against his old side.
The above could come in handy if England find themselves involved in a penalty shoot-out at the Euros.
Ultimately, if Southgate decided to leave Palmer out, he is going to have some explaining to do.
Former Liverpool player Danny Murphy thinks the England international has been good even when Chelsea have lost this season.
The above does not necessarily mean that Palmer should be a starter in Germany. After all, the Three Lions have other good attacking options, including Bukayo Saka. However, we feel that he has definitely done enough to at least receive a call-up.
