Pundit Simon Jordan has now been extremely critical of Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has now carried himself in recent weeks.

He told TalkSPORT that he believes the fact that the Argentine didn’t make more of a deal out of Gary Neville’s comments about his side following their defeat in the League Cup final.

Pochettino cut a broken figure off the back of their loss at Wembley last month at the hands of Liverpool.

The players will also have been gutted due to the position they found themselves in, taking on a side who were extremely depleted due to injury.

Their embarrassment was capitalised on by Neville, who made sure he let audiences know what he thought of the Chelsea players with very little sympathy.

Even after the game he has admitted this was done with entertainment in mind, although it remains to be seen how much it will affect the current squad.

Jordan calls Pochettino a flake

When asked about it, Pochettino has remained respectful to the pundit despite clearly having the opportunity to bite back at his comments.

Now, Jordan has taken exception to this, saying he wouldn’t respect Neville as a person if it was him.

During a conversation about neutrals not looking specific managers, host Jim White said: “You can throw Pochettino in there?”

To which Jordan said: “Well yeah, he’s just a flake so you don’t have to…”

White cut him off with: “He’s a flake?”

Before Jordan added: “Look at his interviews after games, he’s a flake. Look at the way he lets Gary Neville get away with tripe said about his team. That’s flaky. You want managers to be a bit more robust.

“Neville said dreadful things about Chelsea being bottle jobs in the final and his attitude is I respect Gary. Well, I don’t respect Gary if I was him and he issued that comment. I wouldn’t respect him as a person.”

There is reportedly plenty of pressure on the shoulders of Pochettino regarding his job at Stamford Bridge right now.

A number of candidates from both the Premier League and abroad have been reportedly considered for the role already, which is crazy considering it is not even officially available right now.
