Journalist Florian Plettenberg has now claimed that one manager who has previously been on Chelsea’s books is now ready to make his return to football.
He took to Twitter to state that former Bayern Munich and Germany boss Hansi Flick is ready to come back to management, after hiring a new agent to represent him.
Flick has been a name that has been on the list of Todd Boehly and co pretty much since they came into the club less than two years ago.
He was seriously considered for the job when the club sacked Thomas Tuchel right at the start of the owner’s reign, however the job eventually went to Graham Potter.
This did not stop reports that he could be considered for a position in the future, and an appearance at Stamford Bridge did little to end that speculation.
Since then, he has been reported to be the favourite to replace the current man in charge.
Plettenberg has now claimed that the former national team boss is ready to return to work, and has hired a new agent in order to find him the best project to take over.
He said: “Understand that Pini Zahavi is the new agent of Flick. Flick wants to use the network and experience of Zahavi, he’s ready to take over a new project.

The future of Mauricio Pochettino is currently uncertain amongst a number of people.
While the last two impressive results have put a stop to talk of an immediate sack, it can’t be ignored that people on the club’s board are reportedly undecided as to what the future should hold regarding his job.
With Flick back in the game, it remains to be seen if anyone at Stamford Bridge will be more tempted to pull the trigger now.
