Gary Neville has made his score prediction ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Manchester City this weekend.
But fellow pundit Jamie Carragher disagrees with him on one thing.
Chelsea travel to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening to face Manchester City in the Premier League, which is their final game before the League Cup final on 25 February with Liverpool.
The Blues recorded a thrilling 4-4 draw with Man City earlier in the season during the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge.
However, it’s worth adding that Pep Guardiola’s side are currently on an 11-game winning streak across all competitions as they hit their top stride.
Speaking on The Overlap podcast this week, Gary Neville suggests Chelsea may be able cause Man City problems and tips them to score a goal in a 2-1 defeat.
Jamie Carragher can’t see Mauricio Pochettino’s team scoring, though.

Neville said: “I think Chelsea will score.”
Carragher responded: “I don’t.”
Neville then added: “They have enough quick players to do something stupid. You know like Mudryk and all those. They can do something daft and run through at some point. Jackson. Fernandez has something about him that he’ll create him. We’ll give them one, we’ll go 2-1.”
Manchester City vs Chelsea
Chelsea will be hoping their team can continue the recent trend of raising their levels against the elite sides this season.
The Chelsea Chronicle has predicted the starting line-up that Pochettino may select versus Man City.
Neville raises the fair point that the Blues have the pace in their ranks to cause issues tomorrow with the likes of Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk, while midfield general Enzo Fernandez is the perfect architect with his brilliant range of passing.
We’re under no illusion that it’ll be an extremely tough assignment for the Blues on Saturday. Let’s remember Chelsea were on a six-game losing run against Man City before the dramatic draw last November.
