Arsenal are thought to be big fans of one player at their London rivals Chelsea.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Mykhailo Mudryk still has admirers at Arsenal, who tried to sign the winger before his move to Chelsea last January.

However, journalist Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport that the idea of the Gunners making a fresh move for him is “nonsense”.

Mudryk has had a difficult time at Chelsea, making just nine starts in the Premier League this season.

However, he did start in the Blues’ 3-2 win against Leeds United in the FA Cup during the week and managed to score.

Mykhailo Mudryk to Arsenal nonsense

Jones does not think there is much of a chance of Mudryk joining Arsenal.

On the 23-year-old, he said: “It sounds like nonsense that Arsenal would want to sign Mudryk now. I don’t see a world where they could believe there’ll be much value in that deal.

“So, unless Chelsea are willing to take a huge hit on him, there doesn’t seem to be much sense to it. I haven’t heard great things about Mudryk since he arrived at Chelsea, although I think there are some reasons for that.”

Mykhailo Mudryk could still leave Chelsea in the summer

Even if Arsenal are not interested in Mudryk, there is still a possibility of the wide man departing Stamford Bridge before the start of next season.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea have already discussed loaning him out to another club.

With Mudryk not getting a run of games under Mauricio Pochettino, it may make sense. Of course, a change of manager could perhaps see the former Shakhtar Donetsk star get more opportunities.

However, while Chelsea may be struggling under Pochettino at this moment in time, there is no guarantee that the club will sack him.

Whatever the case, Mudryk needs to get a proper run of games in the Premier League, which he has not really got since arriving in the division. Until then, it is going to be hard to tell whether he can make it at Chelsea or not.
