Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella is making good progress as he steps up his recovery from an ankle injury.
That is according to a fresh report this week.
Marc Cucurella, 25, hasn’t played for the Blues since December because of his injury problem.
The Spanish defender was one of eight Chelsea players named on their injury list ahead of Saturday’s league match away to Manchester City, via their official website.
Now, there’s been an update about how the £175,000-a-week’s star’s (Spotrac) recovery is going.
Football.London claimed yesterday that Cucurella is back doing individual training at Chelsea’s Cobham ground as he nears his return from injury.
It is explained that the left-back’s recently been back on the grass doing work following ankle surgery in December.
The report says that the 25-year-old appears to be close to making a return to full team training.

It’ll be a real boost when Cucurella’s back fit and available ready to compete with Ben Chilwell for Chelsea’s left-back starting position.
We think Cucurella’s second season at Stamford Bridge was looking a lot more positive than last year, impressing during the 12 appearances before his injury seback.
Interestingly, speaking on Simon Phillips’ Substack last month, journalist Bobby Vincent shared that Arsenal were really interested in the idea of signing Cucurella midway through this campaign until his injury hit before the January transfer window.
