Chelsea may find it hard to lure one manager to Stamford Bridge this summer.

With Chelsea currently sitting in 11th place in the Premier League table, Mauricio Pochettino‘s job does not look entirely safe.

It is being reported that the Blues have identified Brighton & Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi as a potential replacement for Pochettino. However, according to GiveMeSport, a move to Stamford Bridge is not a priority for the Italian.

Chelsea may find that to be an issue with quite a few managers if they do end up in a search for a new man for the dugout.

Set to miss out on Champions League football again, the club are losing a bit of their appeal.

Chelsea not a priority for Roberto De Zerbi

The Liverpool job is about to become vacant with Jurgen Klopp stepping down at the end of the season, so perhaps that is De Zerbi’s priority.

There is also the possibility that the 44-year-old is simply happy at Brighton and would prefer to stay there than move to Chelsea.

MORE CHELSEA STORIES

Brighton finished above their Premier League rivals last season and are above them again in the table, finding themselves ninth in the standings.

What can Chelsea truly offer the former Shakhtar Donetsk and Sassuolo boss? More money? Yes. A stronger squad? Perhaps, though this Chelsea team have not looked better than Brighton at all this season.

Simply put, to some, Stamford Bridge is probably not the attraction it used to be. That looks to be the case for De Zerbi.

That being said, once an offer comes in and is actually on the table, who knows what the Brighton manager would say? For now, though, Pochettino remains in charge, but if things are to stay that way, he needs to get his side to climb the table. Eleventh place in March is simply not good enough.
