Reports have claimed that Chelsea have now sent scouts to watch one youngster in Europe in recent days.
According to HITC and insider Graeme Bailey, they had people in attendance over the last weekend to watch defender Archie Brown at Gent, with a number of top sides considering a move.
Brown made a name for himself in 2021 when he made the decision to leave Derby County when Wayne Rooney was in charge.
He went looking for first team football, and ended up in Belgium where he has proven to be one of the better players on his team.
His versatility has also been a big key in his career so far. He was originally a winger, who has converted to play some of his better football now as a wing-back.
Chelsea send scouts to watch Brown
Chelsea are no doubt keeping an eye on the transfer market when it comes to that position, with a back-up for Ben Chilwell being high on the list.
It seems as if Ian Maatsen is going to be sold at the end of the season, after he was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund back in January.

The Dutchman has begun to play some seriously impressive football since his move, leaving many wondering why Mauricio Pochettino did not give him more of a chance at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues seem to have added Brown to that list of potential players to come in that role, with it being claimed that a deal could only cost around £15m.
The report went on to say though that a number of top flight sides are interested in a potential deal, meaning they will face competition for a move at this time.
They may struggle to convince Brown or any player to make a move to Stamford Bridge if they are not offering immediate first team football, and Chilwell will certainly have something to say about that.
