The likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic have both gone from strength to strength since leaving Chelsea to reignite their careers in Italy.
We’ve seen the Serie A division remerge as a top league in recent years, with numerous Premier League stars enjoying success after moving to the Italian top division.
Now, there’s another Chelsea star tipped with a potential move there this summer.
Raheem Sterling, 29, is the Blues player linked with Italy.
GiveMeSport claims that Sterling is ‘almost certain’ to be sold by Chelsea at the end of the season, with both the owners and manager willing to sanction the player’s exit.
It is explained that the English winger is keen to see if the opportunity arises to move to the Serie A. Apparently, he’s been impressed by what’s happened to players such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic and Fikayo Tomori at AC Milan.
The report adds that Sterling is set to receive a ‘lucrative offer’ from the Saudi Pro League, while MLS sides could also enter the running for his signature. However, he wants to wait to see if there’s approaches from a Premier League rival or even a European club.

Raheem Sterling shouldn’t give up on Premier League yet
While we’ve got no doubts that Sterling would score goals and be a big hit if he moved to Italy, we’d like to see him stay in English football during what should be the prime years of his career.
The report above indicates quite clearly that the winger’s time at Chelsea is up this summer, but let’s wait and see because there’s lots of conflicting reports in the media right now.
His form for the Blues has been up and down this season, but he’s still on eight goals and 10 assists from 36 games across all competitions so far.
From what Chelsea players publicly say about him, he’s clearly well liked in the dressing room as well.
Speaking via the Premier League’s official YouTube channel earlier in the season, Enzo Fernandez hailed Sterling as a “really fast” player he’s always trying to pass the ball to.
Also, speaking via The Evening Standard at the weekend, Carney Chukwuemeka described teammate Sterling as a “big brother”.
