Enzo Fernandez is finally starting to look like the player Chelsea spent at the time a club-record fee on.
The midfielder is now over a year into his tenure at Stamford Bridge, which has unfortunately coincided with a poor run of form on the pitch for the Blues.
They have remained in the mid-table region of the Premier League table pretty much ever since he joined, however this has not been necessarily down to the World Cup winner.
This season has shown the Argentine has the goalscoring touch too, with his free-kick against Aston Villa showing even his biggest critics just how much quality he has in the locker.
Under Mauricio Pochettino, Fernandez has been forced to feature in a variety of positions where he has sometimes not seen his skillset maximised.
However, when he does feature in his preferred role some of the passing he produces, both long and short, is absolutely sublime, and something which makes him a one of a kind midfielder.
Fernandez tops long passing stats
It is his ability to find teammates from distance though that actually sets him apart from every other player in the league since he made the move to England.

According to WhoScored, he has played more accurate long balls since joining Chelsea than any other player in the Premier League.
With some of the quality passers such as Kevin de Bruyne and Bruno Fernandes in the Premier League, it is a superb achievement to be recognised as top of that tier.
Fernandez will not be too concerned with that though, with his sole focus right now being on winning the EFL Cup on Sunday.
