Chelsea’s Levi Colwill is the headline inclusion, having been drafted in to train with the senior England set-up recently.

The defender stepped up to cover for former Brighton teammate Lewis Dunk who pulled out of the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia through injury.

But Colwill will return to the Under-21s for their tournament, alongside fellow Chelsea star Noni Madueke.

Another Blues defender, Lewis Hall, has not been included while Manchester City’s treble-winner Rico Lewis has also been left behind.

Spurs wing-back Djed Spence misses out due to a knee issue, but Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe has recovered from his own injuries to take part.

Liverpool duo Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott and Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White have also been named in a strong squad.

Other notable players include former Manchester United starlet Angel Gomes who has impressed at Lille and Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, who starred on loan at PSV last season.
