Gene Simmons and his Playboy model wife Shannon Tweed are finally selling their stunning Las Vegas mansion for $11million after originally listing it for $15million in 2021.
The 73-year-old KISS frontman and 66-year-old Canadian actress and model have finally closed the deal on the massive home after slashing the asking price by $4million according to TMZ on Wednesday.
It is interesting to note that the couple were reported to have found a buyer in February 2022 but the deal seemingly did not go through.
According to TMZ at the time, the musician had received an offer in the $13.5million ballpark after dropping the price of the trophy property in November 2021 by $1.45million.
The singer shared in 2021 that though he built the home of his dreams, his family does not want to spend time in the house because Sin City is too hot and is overall lacking in morality.

‘They’re not gonna put up with the heat, and down the street, there’s strippers and stuff like that. They don’t wanna deal with any of that,’ Simmons said last year.
The rocker also said that he could afford to be selective about the buyer.
‘I’d like to meet the person that’s gonna wind up buying the place because I don’t wanna just hand it over to some knucklehead. I want you to enjoy it and have a good life,’ he said.
Simmons put the two-story home on the market for $14.95 million, People reported in October 2021.
‘This home offers so much, from its incredible sweeping valley views and its contemporary modern architecture to its dedication to privacy and exclusivity,’ said listing broker Evangelina Duke-Petroni from the Ivan Sher Group.
Simmons’ six-bedroom and eight-bathroom Vegas home has a much more modern feel than the Beverly Hills home he sold in September 2021 thanks to its angular exterior covered in floor-to-ceiling windows.
Visitors coming to the mansion will pass over an eye-catching floating entryway that passes over a soothing koi pond.
The mansion isn’t as spacious as the one he most recently sold, but it boasts large rooms with more than enough space for family and guests.

It would seem ideal to beat Vegas’ dry heat with its stately minimalist pool outside, and there’s also a hot tub that would be perfect for a breezy evening.
However, Simmons told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Nevada’s punishing heat was a major factor in his quick decision to ditch the mansion.
After saying that ‘taxes’ were his primary motivation in moving from California to Las Vegas, Simmons told the publication that his family didn’t want to move to the home because of how hot the area was.
Although he gave the mansion a shot for a few months, once he went on tour it sat vacant as his family wasn’t willing to live there, so he opted to put it back on the market for almost twice what he paid for it.
When the rocker was asked if he might buy another home in the area, he replied: ‘Can you speak with God and change the weather?’
Despite saying he’s done with California, Simmons isn’t completely leaving the state, as he purchased a $5.8 million hilltop home in Malibu in March that’s considerably more modest than the Vegas or Beverly Hills mansions.
The home sits on just under one acre of land and features a garden with an incredible 133 trees, which cost $1 million to plant, as well as artificial turf that should appeal to climate-focused buyers who don’t want to waste water in the desert setting.
It’s also ideal for fans of the outdoors who can stand the heat, as there are walking trails near the property for a scenic stroll.

The home has an incredible view of the city in the distance from its mountain side, which is particularly grand when glimpsed through the living room windows, which give a view of the pool and the city below.
Although it has two main floors, there’s also a basement level carved into the mountainside.
The home is ideal for entertaining with an outdoor bar and a barbecue pit in the courtyard, though it may be too hot to be comfortable while the sun is up.
The modernist home will get plenty of natural light thanks to its abundant floor-to-ceiling windows.
Simmons’ mansion will likely appeal to car enthusiasts, as it boasts an enormous 11-car garage.
Many of the mansion walls and windows slide open to bring the outdoors indoors, though the feature doesn’t seem to have taken the heat into consideration, nor the astronomical cooling costs that likely come with it.
However, the home’s new residents will still be able to feel the breeze from outside while staying out of the piercing sun while eating at the dining table next to the koi pond.

The mansion boasts a sleek kitchen area with hearty granite countertops and state-of-the-line appliances.
The space has two islands and a long breakfast bar, and lustrous red accents on the cabinets add a playful touch to the space.
The mansion’s open design adds to its spacious feel, and the residents can peer in on the living room from the balcony above.
The second floor features its own great views of Las Vegas thanks to a glass encased sitting room that would work well for intimate gatherings or to simply unwind with a book.
Down in the subterranean area, guests could catch up on multiple sporting events thanks to a bank of three televisions on the stone wall.
Residents of the luxury community get other perks, including access to its 23,000-square-foot clubhouse, which includes a gym and tennis court, plus a games room.
The clubhouse also has its own pool and spa, though Simmons’ mansion should have those covered.
