Channel 10 has confirmed the new suitors looking for love on the new season of The Bachelors, and it appears one of the new leads has an intriguing link to Pip Edwards.

On Sunday, Ten announced that model Ben Waddell, former NRL player Luke Bateman, and Brazilian-born influencer Wesley Senna Cortes would be the three suitors handing out roses on season 11.

However it’s not the first time fans may have heard of Waddell, as he was only recently spotted cosying up with activewear designer Pip Edwards.

The duo were photographed sharing a laugh at the Australian Open on January 30, stoking the flames of a possible romance.

The outing happened only days after Edwards found herself in the limelight, branded as ‘the other woman’ in a tiff between her ex Michael Clarke and his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.

Waddell also previously made headlines when he accused Netflix of allegedly plagiarising his concept for what eventually turned into the hit documentary series, Down to Earth with Zac Efron.

The model-turned-filmmaker claimed that the eco-travel show closely resembled the concept he had pitched to American producers back in 2018.

The startling similarity came to his notice when he saw the show trending on Netflix during the 2020 lockdown.

Recalling the moment, he said, ‘I was sitting on my couch during lockdown and turned on Netflix and it was trending as the second-biggest show in the U.S. I fell out of my chair. I was shocked. It was brutal, gut-wrenching.’

Despite the setbacks, Ben Waddell has continued to make strides in his career, carving out a lucrative path in the international modelling industry.

He is now eager to find a life partner who shares his passion for the environment and sustainability.

Speaking about his upcoming stint on the Channel 10 dating show, Ben said, ‘It’s such a surreal experience to take part in the new Bachelor series. I’ll be going in with an open mind and open heart to find the girl of my dreams.’
