ABC host Jeremy Fernandez says he’s ‘going to a few of the parties’ while hosting Sydney WorldPride coverage – but ‘can’t go too crazy’

He is one of the ABC’s most high-profile presenters.

And newsreader Jeremy Fernandez says he’s planning to combine work and leisure this weekend as he covers Sydney WorldPride for the public broadcaster.

Fernandez told TV Tonight on Thursday he feels a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and plans to go to a few parties in between broadcast duties.

However, his on-air obligations mean he won’t be ‘going too crazy’.

‘But there might be a bit of a barbecue at my place afterwards to kind of wrap it all up and tie things together in a neat bow!’ he said.
