Two people have been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Sydney’s northern beaches.

Emergency services were called to West Street in Balgowlah at about 5.45am on Monday to find a man and woman, both aged in their 30s, suffering stab wounds.

Paramedics treated the pair at the scene before they were rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital.

The man is in a serious condition while the woman is stable but is suffering serious injuries. 

Police have set up a crime scene and investigations are continuing.
