The 19-year-old man attended Fairfield Police Station at 8.15am today, where he was placed under arrest.

He was charged with rioting and two counts of damaging property during public disorder.

He was refused bail to appear in Fairfield Court today.

The riot broke out in the Western Sydney suburb of Wakeley following the alleged terror stabbing of 53-year-old Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel.

Seven other men have been charged over their alleged roles in the riot, and all remain before the courts.
