Adrian conceded three goals in less than 30 minutes as Liverpool drew a 4-4 against German second-tier side Greuther Furth.

It certainly was a day to forget for the 36-year-old shot-stopper who was only on the pitch for 28 minutes after coming on at half-time.

Luis Diaz had put Liverpool ahead after 22 minutes with manager Jurgen Klopp then ringing in the changes at half-time.

Adrian replaced Alisson Becker and had only been on the pitch for two-minutes before conceding his first.

The former West Ham shot-stopper decided to pass the ball out to 18-year-old James McConnell, who was being closed down in his own box.

It allowed Julian Green to fire home from close range to bring the teams level.

Liverpool then stepped up a gear with a quick-fire double from Darwin Nunez.

The Uruguayan made it 2-1 after a lovely ball was played through by Mohamed Salah, following good work from Harvey Elliott.

The 24-year-old then rounded Jonas Urbig to slot home.

He later placed a left-footed shot beyond the goalkeeper to make it 3-1 and put the Reds firmly in control.

Lukas Petkov then made it 3-2 firing beyond Adrian, before the German side then added a third, when Armindo Sieb smashed home.

Klopp decided to continue to rotate his goalkeepers with Adrian taken off for Brazilian Marcelo Pitaluga.

The 20-year-old was straight into the action, with his first involvement picking the ball out of the Liverpool net.

Sieb had turned the game on its head making it 4-3, who drilled a low shot into the bottom corner from outside the area.

The scoring was not finished there, though, as Salah had the final say to earn Klopp’s side a draw in the end-to-end second half.

The Egypt international turned in a Nunez cross at the back post, before the latter nearly won it with only to be kept out by Urbig.

Liverpool’s pre-season will continue with a trip to Singapore where they will take on Leicester on Sunday, followed by a clash with Bayern Munich on August 2.
